The Image Generator (called Imagine in the dashboard) lets you create stunning visuals from a text description. Choose from multiple AI image models including FLUX, Imagen, Grok Image, and Nano Banana to match your artistic needs and budget.

Generating an image

Open Imagine in your dashboard

Click Imagine in the sidebar of your Monorail AI dashboard.

Write a prompt

Type a description of the image you want to create. Be as specific as possible about style, subject, colors, and composition.

Select an image model

Choose from the available models based on the quality, style, and credit cost you want.

Click Generate

Submit your prompt and wait for the image to render.

Download or refine

Download your image directly, or adjust your prompt and regenerate to refine the result.

Prompt tips

  • Describe the subject clearly: “a golden retriever running on a beach at sunset”
  • Specify an art style: “digital art”, “photorealistic”, “watercolor painting”, “3D render”
  • Include lighting details: “soft morning light”, “dramatic studio lighting”
  • Add composition cues: “close-up portrait”, “wide landscape”, “bird’s eye view”

Credit usage

Image generation costs vary by model and resolution. FLUX.1 [schnell] is the most credit-efficient option at approximately 1 credit per 2.33 megapixels. Premium models like FLUX 1.1 [pro] cost approximately 8.57 credits per megapixel. See the Credits page for a full breakdown of model rates.
