# Voice Isolator: Remove background noise from audio

> Use Monorail AI Voice Isolator to separate voice from background noise in any audio recording. Clean up interviews, podcasts, or recordings instantly.

The Voice Isolator removes background noise from audio recordings, leaving you with a clean, isolated vocal track. This is ideal for cleaning up interview recordings, podcast episodes, meeting audio, or any file with unwanted background sound.

## Isolating a voice

    Click **Voice Isolator** in the sidebar of your Monorail AI dashboard.

  <Step title="Upload your file">
    Select and upload the audio or video file containing the recording you want to clean.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Click Isolate">
    Submit the file and let the AI process the audio to separate the voice from background noise.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Preview and download">
    Listen to the cleaned audio in your browser and download the isolated vocal track when you're satisfied.
