# Quick start: Create your first AI content

> Learn how to sign up for Monorail AI, pick a plan, choose an AI tool, and generate your first piece of content in under five minutes.

Monorail AI is free to start — no credit card required. Follow the steps below to create your account and generate your first piece of AI content in just a few minutes.

    Go to [mnrl.app/signup](https://www.mnrl.app/signup) and fill in your email address and a password. Your account is created on the Freemium plan automatically, which gives you access to all nine tools at no cost.

  <Step title="Sign in">
    Visit [mnrl.app/app](https://www.mnrl.app/app) or click **Sign In** on the Monorail AI homepage. Enter your email and password to access your dashboard.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose an AI tool">
    From your dashboard, select one of the nine available tools: **Chat**, **Writer**, **Imagine** (images), **Video**, **Coder**, **Transcriber**, **Voiceover**, **Voice Isolator**, or **Classifier**. Each tool is purpose-built for a specific type of content.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enter your prompt">
    Type a description of what you want to create. Depending on the tool, you can also upload media files — such as images, audio recordings, or video — to guide the AI or use as source material.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Generate">
    Hit **Generate** and Monorail AI processes your request using the selected AI model. Results appear in seconds. You can copy, download, or iterate on the output directly in the tool.

  <Step title="Check your credits">
    Each generation consumes credits from your balance based on the model used and the amount of content produced. View your remaining credits at any time in your account dashboard.
